Congrats!

Hello Everyone! It’s Aga here and today I’m sharing a watercolour card using Persian Motifs and Label Love sets. This time however I used slightly different technique than normally.

congrats

First I stamped the Persian motifs in very light colour (Buttercream), and then I used watercolours to cover them. There is no need to stay in lines, I only covered the background area. Last step was to stamp the floral motifs once again over the old ones but in black colour. Thus, I didn’t have to worry about the danger of smudging my stamped images while applying watercolours.

congrats1

To finish my card off I added some yellow splatters and gold confetti stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Masking Background card

Hello, everyone! Anna is here and I want to share my latest card and video. I’m not the kind of person that often inspires with some material things to create cards. But some time ago I was walking down the street and saw a woman in a black jacket with a print of bright red roses. At that moment I hought, that I really want to create a card with the same background! So it’s finally a time for Vintage Roses set, that I didn’t use for a long time, but here it’s perfect!

The main technique here is masking. I deliberately did not use dies for this set when made masks for roses and leaves – they give a white frame in this case.

More details of creating of this card you can see in my video. Hope, you’ll enjoy it!

Supplies: Vintage Roses, Label Love, red and green inks.

Cosmic card

Hello, everyone! Anna is here today. I like theme of space, stars, far far away planets. And last time I have this theme in my cards. And it was some time ago I decided to create a card with planets that will look like a natural planets that we can see in books and on pictures! And today I glad to introduce my tutorial for such card.

I used well known technique here – stamp kissing. And all you need is some inks and stamps – I used To The Moon and Wood Pallet Background. And sentiment is from Label Love set.

A few of my favourite Altenew things!

Hey!

Happy Friday! It’s Aimes here today with a little card that combines a number of my favourite Altenew goodies combined with a splash of sparkle and a fun idea using the Doodle Blooms dies.

Celebrate1

As soon as I laid my eyes on those versatile Doodle Blooms dies I knew I wanted to create a fun focal point using them. I simply die-cut them and arranged them onto a die-cut circle. This was so easy! I didn’t separate the dies so I can use the negative die-cut piece for a future project too (watch this space!)

Celebrate close up1

The Wood Pallet Background stamp set is a firm favourite with me and enables you to create on-trend backgrounds with ease and style. For a bit of definition I decided to heat-emboss the design with clear embossing powder. Then it was simply a case of placing the Doodle Blooms focal point to the centre and layering some of my favourite elements on top including a fitting sentiment from Label Love!

I always like to include a couple of top tips with my projects so here a couple if you decide to try this for yourself:

  • I used Stick It adhesive sheets with my die-cuts which makes adhering them a simple and easy process!
  • Double up on 3D foam pads or tape on the reverse of the focal point if using a mini peg to allow the peg to sit onto the card front
  • I have a thing for adding big twine bows to mini pegs but those bow tails can misbehave! Simply add a couple of tiny dots of Glossy Accents to keep them in place and still retain that fun, whimsical feel they add

Well that’s all from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by today and  I hope you have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

We Should Get Together

Hello, Altenew fans! Yana is here with you today sharing a We Should Get Together card. I love to travel (in fact I just came back from Poland a few days ago) and I’ve made a lot of friends over the years while traveling. I try to stay in touch with everyone on Facebook or via e-mail, but sometimes its just nice to snail mail a card, don’t you agree?

We Should Get Together

I made this one (and a bunch more like this to mail to friends) using Sketchy Cities Abroad stamp set. I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on my cards so instead of coloring the skyline I did wet water coloring using Altenew Coral Berry and Warm Sunshine inks, very similar to what I shared in my previous blog post in video.

Video. Just For You Card using Striped Flowers

Hello stamping gang! Yana is here with you today sharing a new video tutorial using amazing Altenew products. Be sure to grab a cup of coffee/tea and enjoy now or bookmark/pin/save this post and come watch our video later.

Today I am sharing an elegant Just For You card using lots of gold accents and bright colors. I seem to be enjoying working with the gold-colored products more and more these days.

If you have been following my video tutorials you might have noticed that there was a request from Sue to use Lacy Scrolls for my next video, unfortunately, I do not have that stamp set, so I had to go with a different one for this project. I hope you will enjoy it!

Paint the Sky with Butterflies

Hello!

Tasnim here, and today I have a clean and simple card for you using the Painted Butterflies set.

This card also features some new products which will be coming soon to the store!

Painted Butterflies

I stamped each butterfly in two coordinating colors of inks (Altenew inks!) and finished the card with a little splatter from Heidi Swapp color shine in Primrose, and a sentiment from Label Love.

Mark your calenders for May 15 – the day the new inks will be released. I have used seven colors here, and there are five more!

Happy crafting!

Storytelling Card by May

Hello, everyone! It’s May here, and today I have a couple of simple cards to share with you all. I decided to focus on Figure Effects stamp set and here is what I came up with:

DSC_7519-2_1000_w

I started by drawing a horizontal line using a black pen on the card front. Then I stamped the figure image in black, and I created a hole image in two shades of red using a masking technique. Next, I stamped the heart images to look like coming out of the hole.

Can you guess the story I made up? He is trying to protect his love(hearts) from losing/leaking it(them) by blocking up the hole with a rock. Does it make a sense to you? *wink* To support my little scene, I stamped several sentiments in rows as a passage from a storybook.

DSC_7524-2_1000_w

I created my own background for the next card using figures along with tiny images from Figure Effects. As you see above, I masked off each edge of the card front using sticky notes to enhance the background. I finished off the card with the sentiment from Label Love stamp set.

Hope you loved seeing my cards and got some inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!

Hi, it is Marika from Me and Minime crafting again. Firstly, I would like to give my humble thank you for all the kind comments given to my last card set. I was so pleased to see that you liked my cards and shared you thoughts so openly – it made my day! Thank you.
Last time I made a set of three cards sharing a common theme. This time I created the cards  using craft cardstock and coloured pencils. Enjoy!

Stamp sets used are Halftone Hello, Label Love, Lacy Scrolls, Painted Butterflies, Peony Scrolls and Whimsical flowers. I started with stamping the sentiments using either Versamark or a black pigment ink and then heat embossed them with either Vanilla White or Clear Matt Dull embossing power. Then the main images were stamped using either white pigment ink (Lacy Scrolls, solid image) or Memento Desert Sand (outline images) and then coloured with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils or Faber-Castell Polychromos Color Pencils (greens).
Since heat embossing resists the ink, I was able to stamp images after stamping the sentiment and still got the illusion that flowers and leaves are behind the sentiment. The “Love U”- card is made in different order: At first, I stamped the main images with white pigment ink and then the sentiment with black pigment in so the white shines through just a tiny bit.
Thank you Tasnim and Jennifer for this great opportunity to be your guest. It’s been a wonderful experience. Thank you very much!
Thank you SO much for delighting us today with these cards! You are amazing, Marika!
