September Challenge: From the Craft Room

Hello!

Today we are very excited to be introducing our first monthly challenge!

Each month we will be bringing you an inspiration photo based on a particular theme.

This month’s theme is: From the Craft Room: Lime Lemonade

To get you started, I made a card based on this photo:

I used the Giraffe image from our Geometric Menagerie set, and embossed it in white on water color paper. Next I used Peerless water colors to add some yellow and green to the Giraffes. I trimmed them, and adhered them over a die cut circle. The leaves were doodled using a fine tip Gray marker, trimmed and adhered behind the circle. Since I made this card for a friend of mine who just had twin boys, I had to make a custom greeting using a Dymo label maker (I just realized that in my hurry I forgot the “o” in welcome! Good thing I can simply make another label 🙂 ).

 

Play Along:

Make a card, a tag, a layout or any other project based on the inspiration photo above. You may use either the colors, the composition, the elements, the texture or any combination to create your project.

• Make a new project for each challenge and post it by 11:55 pm EST September 30
• Use at least one Altenew stamp

• When uploading your project, make sure to link to your entry post, not your entire blog
• You may enter as many times as you wish!

Prizes:

After the challenge closes, Three winners will be selected, and each will receive a $20 store credit at www.altenew.com. Winners will be announced at the beginning of the next month.
